What is a good social policy(or proposal) that has been discused recently in the media?

this is for a paper…such an ex is should *** marriage be permitted? it does not need to be a policy that is related to this type of question…any policy will do…also needs to be soemthing that I explain what some of the societal values are on this issue…back to the marriage ex. some societal values may be if society thinks is it right or wrong….I CAN NOT use the ex given as my policy, just so that it is not Suggested….thank you
