TipDrop.com – The New Social Media Micro Blogging Craze
Well Jonathan Leger has done it again but this time, in my opinion, it’s going to make a huge splash in the Internet Marketing Tools world. Introducing TipDrop, a new social media micro blogging site that’s gone wild in the past 4 days it’s been live. In the first day of publication it had 150,000 page views and a short 4 days after that they eclipsed the 750,000 mark, huge growth in such a short time is amazing.
TipDrop was created to help members with various topics using the micro blogging concept that Twitter was built on but this is a little different, members create tipsheets with a specific niche title and members or “tippers” write out some tips about the subject. It works out great for both parties, we get more exposure for our links and learn some new tricks in the process.
TipDrop has a great way of policing the potential spam that usually invades a social system like this. Every tipsheep and tip have a rating system called a “credibility” score, so tips that are self promoting can be rated down and off the tipsheet all together. The whole site is built around credibility and this would also affect the members credibility score.
Conversely, if you create good tipsheets and good tips, tippers will rate you up so your credibility grows and more people will listen to what you have to say.Another way TipDrop minimizes the spam efforts is it actually gives you the ability to place 10 links to anything you want in your profile, if members want to know more about you, they'll visit your profile and potentially click your links, so it doesn’t make.
It doesn’t stop there, Jonathan and his people were thinking when they put this puppy together because, not only do they allow you to place links in your profile but they also pay you 75% of the Adsense clicks you get on your profile page, as well as your tipsheets!
It's nice to see the eagerness with a new site and the TipDrop team seemed really pumped to get this puppy on the right track, one tipsheet was created to get feebdack from the early TipDrop members for improvements they would like to see and several great ideas were posted, but more.
In the short time that TipDrop has been published the upgrades based on user feedback is already being deployed, features like messaging functionality, video tips, adjusted the credibility scores and allow you to custom design you profile page with background image, background color,.
I think Twitter is great for your business and there’s certainly a place for it in your marketing, but hold onto your hats because TipDrop is coming fast and it is a blast to use and read. Now that's some powerful stuff, I'm working to get it into my daily routine, I got some great ideas from others, maybe someone got a nugget from me, but what really got me is I placed my new.
